Description

Subsidized Fall CSA Share

As part of our Food Access mission, WFCF offers half-priced CSA shares to low income households. These shares are subsidized by our community, who donate to our “Food for All” program. We determine eligibility for these shares based on current USDA SNAP eligibility guidelines (you do not need to be currently enrolled in SNAP). Check if you qualify here. By purchasing this share, you self-identify as meeting the USDA SNAP eligibility guidelines.

Pick up a bounty of fall and winter favorites, including spinach, kale, bok choy, cabbage, onions, leeks, carrots, celery, beets, turnips, potatoes, sweet potatoes, parsnips, scallions, radishes, winter squash and more! You can expect around 60% of the share to be storage veggies (e.g. potatoes, winter squash) and 40% to be winter greens (e.g. spinach, kale).

We think of these shares as “storage shares” because they are tailored to see you into the cold months of winter. These shares are a delicious way to celebrate the late season harvest and offer a bountiful Thanksgiving feast from your local farm! Each of the 3 CSA pick ups averages about 35 pounds of produce, it is larger than a weekly summer share. This share was previously called our "Extended Season Share".

Why “Donor Covers Cost” is So Important

One of the fastest growing areas of expenses for our organizations are fees we incur for processing credit cards. In 2024, WFCF incurred more than $22,000 in credit card processing fees.

By covering the cost of your transaction today, you are helping us to meet our operating costs, and to remain focused on our mission of cultivating sustainable and equitable relationships between people, their food supply, and the land from which it grows. Thank you for doing so.
