Stretch out on the farm after school and explore the natural world in all seasons, all year long!  Guided by WFC Education Team, participants will connect with their farm friends (and make new ones!) to learn about growing, harvesting and preparing their own food! Occasional visits to the chicken coop and fiber rabbit cuddling included!  WFCF Farm-based Education and Enrichment Programs offer a variety of experiential, project-based adventures for learners of all ages, exploring agriculture, gardening, environment, nature, culinary arts, sustainability, foraging, and science-based programs through hands-on experiences with real-life applications.

About WFCF Waltham Resident Discount Tickets: Waltham Resident discount tickets are provided during seasons that WFCF is unable to offer programs through the Waltham Recreation Department as a Program Partner, and are noted on the program page when available.  Select our Waltham Resident option if you are a Waltham resident who usually registers for our programs through the Waltham Recreation Department, or a Waltham resident trying an on-farm program and this rate will allow your child(ren) to explore and learn with us.

About Non-Waltham Resident Fee Assistance & WFCF ‘Education for All’ scholarship fund:  When possible, WFCF provides various levels of fee assistance through the ‘Education for All’ scholarship fund. Non-Waltham Residents can email inquiries and requests regarding fee assistance through WFCF’s ‘Education for All’ scholarship fund to jessica@communityfarms.org

Special thanks to those who are able to register at the full rate and/or donate to our ‘Education for All’ scholarship fund. Your support strengthens our nonprofit farm and our community by keeping our programs accessible to everyone. 

Cancellation & Refund Policy  Cancellations made 21 days or more in advance of the start date will receive a full refund minus a $35 administrative fee. Cancellations made between 14 and 20 days in advance will receive a 50% refund minus a $35 administrative fee. Cancellations made within 13 days or less of the start date are non-refundable. Waltham Fields Community Farm reserves the right to change, modify and/or cancel program dates at our discretion.

Returning Spring 2025  NEW EXTENDED PICK UP OPTION! $285.00  Fall After School on the Farm has a brand new extended-pick-up option, allowing working families to pick up their child at 5:30 p.m. instead of the traditional 5pm closing time, for a minimal fee.  5:00 - 5:30 p.m. extended session will include an additional snack, with time for learners to continue tending to the garden, creating art in the cottage, or reading books from home, or from our cottage library.
