Join us after school and explore the wonders of the farm as seedlings, critters, and farm animals emerge for another great growing season! You’ll plant seeds, cuddle chickens and fiber rabbits, and learn all about growing herbs, flowers, and veggies using organic methods as we get the Learning Garden started for the year.

This outdoor program provides youth with an open space in the fresh air to connect with each other and the source of their food. Program sessions are guided by immersive curriculum and experiential learning through movement-based games, garden and animal explorations, farm walks, science experiments, culinary activities, and nature crafting. Participants will make direct connections with the farm and farmers and develop a deeper understanding of where our food comes from.

Occasionally we will make simple snacks from the food we harvest on the farm, or harvest produce that youth have helped grow, which they will bring home to share with their families.

3-3:30   Rolling drop off with light snack (popcorn or fruits/veggies when in season) and free-play

3:30-4:30   Formal program is held
