Our Angora Rabbits love cold weather and want to share some playtime with you! Come bounce around this winter on the farm and enjoy the weather together!

Rabbit Ambassadors Wintertime edition is an abbreviated version of our more extensive spring and fall programs, perfect for small family groups or learning pods looking to enjoy an outdoor activity together at a safe distance. Once a month in January, February, and March, we will gather in the Learning Garden with our community of bunnies, learn to groom and care for them, explore their unique Angora wool and the ways humans utilize it, especially in the winter!

Opportunities to foster and/or adopt a rabbit are available (but not required) for interested families who participate in Rabbit Ambassadors.  A full spring and fall session is required before a family can apply for adoption.

Families who are currently fostering or have adopted a member of the farm Angora rabbit family are encouraged to sign up for these sessions, and plan to bring your rabbits for advanced learning and grooming support through the winter (and to give the rabbits some family reunion time).

• Sessions will take place entirely outdoors when possible so please come dressed appropriately! On wet or especially chilly days, sessions will be held in the Learning Garden Cottage where masks are required.

• Masks are required in all indoor settings on the farm, including the Learning Garden Cottage and Field Station indoor bathrooms.

• More information about our COVID-19 Safety Protocols and preparing your family for this program will be delivered upon registration.

• For more information about our increased safety procedures, or if you have questions about this program, please contact Director of Education and Community Programs, Jessica Herwick.
