Join guest instructor Alex Adamo from Alex Makes Art in the Learning Garden, and create these adorable felted pumpkin sculptures for your fall decor, or make as gifts for your loved ones. Alex will guide our workshop as we explore this fiber art together using a little farm-raised fiber donated by our Angora rabbit family.
Learn about the history of felt as a textile, and needle felting as an art form. Meet the rabbit family, explore Angora samples, and learn about the science of manipulating the luxurious Angora wool they provide.
ALL SKILL LEVELS WELCOME! Beginners will be introduced to needle felting basics and will be able to complete a pumpkin by the end of the workshop. Alex will share tips, tricks and secrets with all participants. More advanced artists will learn techniques to add color, shading, and detail to your pumpkins. Let's get creative together!
This program is recomended for adults, teens, and youth 10+ accompanied by an adult.
Families welcome to attend together - each participant must register separately to ensure all participants recieve their own materials kit.
