Join your toddlers on an adventure in the great outdoors and spend some time with your fellow humans! Social gatherings look a little different than they used to, and that means we have some new skills to practice together!  Participants will gather in family groups for a new kind of Little Sprouts Program to celebrate and experience the fall together on the farm.  From a safe distance (face masks required when in the cottage), we'll explore the farm and garden together, plant seeds, water plants, spend time with our fiber rabbits and our egg-laying hens, and dig in the dirt!

Our Learning Garden Programs provide a structured, hands-on environment that encourages you and your little ones to learn about the farm and the food it produces through projects, play, and movement.  Children and caregivers participate in a range of activities together, such as exploring trees and leaves, observing and tracking wildlife, playing games, making natural art, singing songs, reading interactive books, harvesting veggies and herbs, and exploring the signs of fall in the garden and on the farm.

Please note this program takes place outdoors for the entire hour, rain or shine.

The new Learning Garden Cottage will provide shelter for heavy rainfall or chilly days, although it is not heated.

Please dress appropriately for the weather.

                                     COVID SAFETY AND AWARENESS

  • Face coverings are required for each session. We are currently masking when going indoors for any amount of time, and anytime we are unable to remain at safe distances from each other.  During rain, play will move to the Learning Garden Cottage, considered an indoor space. Staff and participants are required to mask up when in the Cottage.
  • Due to safety precautions, we will not prepare food on-site or eat together as part of the regular program sessions. When able to remain fully outdoors for the entire program session, we may prepare something from our harvest as a program activity. Please eat before you arrive on-site, or bring a snack for the picnic tables in the field to eat after the program session ends. Safe spaces provided for water breaks.
  • When produce can be harvested, families will bring items home for snacking and cooking with their family.
  • More information about our COVID-19 Safety Recomendations and how to best prepare your family for this program will be delivered upon registration closer to the start date of the program. Learning Garden Safety Recomendations are posted and updated as needed on our website.
  • Participants may be asked to complete a COVID 19 potential exposure self- screening.
